On Tuesday, March 24, CASE members and supporters gathered at the Community College of Philadelphia for the spring ecosystem convening focused around combating the phenomenon of Summer Melt. Thank you to CCP for hosting us once again!
CASE Action Teams shared out updates on work being done in alignment with their priorities, and we were delighted to welcome Katharine Meyer from the Brown Center on Education Policy at Brookings, who spoke on evidence-based design principles for reducing summer melt. To close out, Aja Holden, Executive Director of the Office of Postsecondary Readiness for the School District of Philadelphia, addressed attendees to emphasize a collective call to action for reducing summer melt this summer. CASE members are encouraged to use and share the linked summer melt checklist widely.
